Binary Tab: Replacing Your New Tab Page with a Minimal Binary Clock
Binary Tab is a Chrome add-on developed by albertnis that allows you to replace your new tab page with a minimal and elegant binary clock. With just a hover of the cursor over the bottom of the page, you can access the settings drawer and customize your clock to your liking.
The settings options in Binary Tab are extensive and continuously expanding. You can choose between a light or dark color scheme, including a dynamic hex color option. Additionally, there is an inverted color scheme available. For added convenience, the add-on can also automatically invert colors at sunset and sunrise based on your current location.
Other customizable features include clock size, the option to display digits, placeholder letters, or nothing below the clock, and the ability to show row numbers, which is great for learning to read the binary clock. Binary Tab also offers the option to show, hide, or auto-hide the bookmarks bar, as well as manage bookmarks directly from the new tab page.
It's worth noting that Binary Tab only uses the user's position to determine sunrise and sunset times when the "Use current location" button is clicked. If you have any concerns regarding privacy, you are welcome to inspect the code for reassurance.
With its sleek design and extensive customization options, Binary Tab is a great choice for those who appreciate a minimalist aesthetic and want to personalize their new tab page.
